Artificial General Intelligence: 9th International by Bas Steunebrink, Pei Wang, Ben Goertzel

By Bas Steunebrink, Pei Wang, Ben Goertzel

This booklet constitutes the refereed lawsuits of the ninth overseas convention on synthetic normal Intelligence, AGI 2016, held in manhattan urban, manhattan, united states, in July 2016 as a part of HLAI 2016, the Joint Multi-Conference on Human-Level man made Intelligence 2016.

The 24 complete papers, 2 brief papers, and 10 poster papers provided have been rigorously reviewed and chosen from sixty seven submissions. AGI study differs from the standard AI examine through stressing at the versatility and wholeness of intelligence, and by means of undertaking the engineering perform in line with an overview of a approach akin to the human brain inSelf a definite sense.

Am ))2 ≤ − ln PU (μ) 2 m=1 (4) which is less than −1/2 ln PU (μ) according to the convergence theorem proven in [19], and it is roughly HU (μ) ln 2 [22]. , the source has a computable probability distribution. The convergence theorem is quite significant, because it shows that Solomonoff induction has the best generalization performance among all prediction methods. In particular, the total error is expected to be a constant independent of the input, and the error rate will thus rapidly decrease with increasing input size.

AIXI is a universal solution to the RL problem; it can learn any computable environment. A technical subtlety of AIXI is that it is defined using a mixture over semimeasures that need not sum to 1, rather than over proper probability measures. In this work we argue that the shortfall of a semimeasure can naturally be interpreted as the agent’s estimate of the probability of its death. We formally define death for generally intelligent agents like AIXI, and prove a number of related theorems about their behaviour.
